Collaborating Physician (MD/DO) – NP Supervision – California (Remote) Company: Comfort Mental Wellness PLLC Job Type: Part-time / Contract Compensation: Starting at $200 per month Location: Remote – California Overview We are a small, cash-pay telepsychiatry practice seeking a California-licensed physician (MD or DO) to provide part-time supervision and collaboration for a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). This is a flexible, remote opportunity with a low initial patient volume. The PMHNP will manage all routine direct patient care, while the collaborating physician provides clinical consultation and oversight in accordance with California regulations. Physicians from all medical specialties are welcome to apply, provided they are qualified and comfortable fulfilling the supervisory responsibilities. Responsibilities • Collaborate on the development, review, and approval of standardized procedures and prescribing protocols. • Provide periodic chart reviews and clinical consultation as required. • Support safe psychiatric medication management, including Schedule II controlled substances such as Adderall. • Be reasonably available for clinical consultation when needed. • Maintain appropriate documentation of supervisory activities. • No routine direct patient visits required. Requirements • Active, unrestricted California MD or DO license. • Ability and willingness to provide appropriate NP supervision in accordance with California regulations. • Willingness to participate in standardized procedures and Schedule II prescribing protocols. • Ability to provide remote clinical consultation as needed. • Appropriate professional liability insurance covering supervisory responsibilities, or willingness to obtain such coverage. Compensation and Schedule • Starting compensation: $200 per month. • Compensation growth: Potential for increased compensation as patient volume and supervisory responsibilities grow, subject to mutual agreement. • Schedule: Flexible and remote. • Estimated time commitment: Approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour per month initially, depending on patient volume and applicable supervision requirements. • Patient population: Adults only. • Employment arrangement: Part-time contract arrangement, subject to applicable California law.
